Safetensors Inspector

Explore tensor structure without uploading your file.

A closer look at your model file.

Drop a Safetensors file here, or choose one to get started.

One local file at a time.

Your file stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Inspects file information. Does not fully validate model weights.

How to inspect a Safetensors file

  1. Choose or drop one local Safetensors file.
  2. Read its tensor count, shapes, data types and metadata.
  3. Search tensor names or metadata keys and browse the results.

What can I see?

File size, tensor names, shapes, declared data types, data offsets and optional metadata. Scalar and empty tensors are supported. Unknown data types are shown without guessing their byte layout.

Does this verify model weights?

No. The inspector reads the Header and checks declared shapes and byte ranges against the file size. It does not read or decode weight values, run the model or prove file integrity.

Can I inspect a split model?

Choose one .safetensors shard at a time. Results describe that file only. Other shards and .safetensors.index.json files are not loaded.

Why did my file reach a limit?

The inspector reads a Header prefix of up to 16 MiB and supports up to 50,000 tensors. A limit message does not mean the file is damaged. Choose another file to continue.
